This is a pre-owned Vintage Sony Walkman Metal Cassette Player Model #WM-3 with Free Shipping. This Sony player has a metal exterior which gives it a very high quality feeling, in overall good condition for the age. In the one picture is the side of the player there are 2 small screws that are missing, I have circled them. I don't know if someone attempted to take this apart and decided a few minutes in to give up on that goal or if these just happen to fall out over time. They look to just hold that side cover on, I'm sure replacing these 2 small screws would not be costly at all. On the front there is the heavy plastic small screen to where you can look in on the tape actually playing, there is a small crack in that plastic that I have circle in the photos. This doesn't hurt performance, just the overall look of the item. 

When power is supplied either by AC Adapter or 2 Double AA batteries the microphone did work the first time i tried it but now it doesn't want to work, you could push play and hear a faint noise in the headphones like the player is trying to play but the tape spindles do not move. But now when I try with batteries or AC it doesn't do anything so not sure what's going on here. It is very common for the drive belts to fail on these after so many years, I don't know how difficult they are to replace but I know the cost can be under $10 to purchase the parts. I think its either the belts or the small drive motor but leaning more towards belts but that is obviously not a professional opinion, just what I feel it might be. All buttons move, work except when you push to eject the tape door it doesn't pop open, you have to use your finger to open it. Looks like the lever that comes out from that eject button is supposed to hit on maybe a small rubber piece on the inside of the door to open it but there is nothing there. My asking price is a lot lower than what these normally go for because of these issues but the following is what you will come with this purchase.
