I have a fantastic 1936 GR postbox in untouched condition has a chubb lock and key works the lock easily but not original to box as many got replaced over time 2 more keys aswell but a bit fiddly to use. this is very heavy as all cast iron, no tin plate on this one it has layers and layers of post office red paint that seem to have kept it in very good solid condition. the tab that would have held a letter cage has gone but easy enough to make another if needed . collection welcome or can post but again this is heavy and I may but it on a pallet for £80 getting rare to find now so get a nice genuine piece of history. This would make a great spring project for someone to restore to its former glory
