Five smashing very sea worn lengths of Fisherman`s rope and Coorlin (the slim but stong twine used by sea Fishermen) which were beach combed in Dunbar, East Lothian on the East coast of Scotland so they were all once in the North Sea. They weigh about 362 grams and the longest is around 254 centimetres long excluding any bits that are unravelling at the ends whilst the shortest measures about 125 cm long. The two-pence piece is there to give you an idea of the size and the pictures are each approximately 30 x 22 centimetres in area (they show different aspects of these lovely nautical textiles alternative ways up on different coloured backgrounds and them in different lights). Pleasingly very sea worn and faded with some unravelling bits, kinks, curls, marks, fraying, wear and stains etc. I washed them after I brought them home. Ideal for using in garden, DIY, art and craft projects - and these are particularly suited for art subjects especially if your going for a beach, found, recycled, reclaimed, driftwood, nautical, ocean conservation or seaside theme.
