This exquisite necklace has been hand crafted in a richly coloured marbled orange butterscotch bakelite with delightful marbling and variance of colour simulating natural amber.
A chunky faceted pendant creates a striking focal point suspended from the necklace which is composed of bold geometrically shaped bakelite beads. A combination of circular, globular, faceted and oval shaped beads have been arranged to create a perfectly balanced yet wonderfully dynamic piece which is an absolute delight to wear.
The bakelite has a magnificently intense rich colour, the beads retaining a stunning lustrous finish and an appealing smooth feel.
SIZE: This exceptionally impressive necklace measures approx 65cms or 25.5 inches in length. The central pendant measures approx 45mms high x 20mms wide. The oval shaped beads measure approx 15mms long, the round beads measure approx 10mms in diameter and the faceted beads measure approx 20mms in length x 15mms in width.
WEIGHT: This stunning necklace weighs approx 80 grams.
CONDITION: These magnificent beads are presented in excellent vintage condition with no breaks, losses or repairs. The beads are strung onto a length of fishing line which remains strong and secure. This necklace is connected with a metal barrel screw clasp which is in fine working order. The bakelite retains a magnificent rich vibrancy, luster and sheen. These stunning beads have been very well cared for but would benefit from being cleaned as I always leave cleaning precious items to the new owner.
