- Tony Biagi (1945–2018)
- Accidental Discovery: A decorated Vietnam War veteran (101st Airborne), Biagi discovered his artistic talent while recovering from combat injuries in 1966, famously beginning his journey with a simple paint-by-number set.
- The "Pragmatic" Artist: Known for his strict self-discipline and technical precision, he spent over 40 years as a professional watercolorist, treating his studio work with the same rigor as a standard workday.
- Historical Accuracy: He was highly regarded for his Civil War portraiture, conducting exhaustive research into period-correct military buttons, weaponry, and uniforms to satisfy the most meticulous historians.
- Wildlife Conservation: A prominent figure in Southern wildlife art, his detailed depictions of game earned him prestigious honors, including being named the Mississippi Wild Turkey Federation's Stamp Artist of the Year in 2006.
- Southern Legacy: Based in Brookhaven, Mississippi, Biagi produced nearly 90 limited-edition prints during his career, leaving behind a body of work characterized by vibrant colors and an unwavering commitment to realism.
