My mother loved to dress up to go to her ladies luncheons in the 1950s and the 1960s. This is one of her hats from sometime in that era. The designer name inside the hat is Billy Lewis. My mother's head was on the smaller side. I measured the circumference of the inside band and it was about 20 in.

The top of the hat is a lavender / light purple. The bottom is either a dark blue or a very dark purple blue. I'm not sure.

I'm not sure what the material is. The inside looks like wool felt. The outside looks like brushed felt to look like a fake fur, but I'm not sure. It has a satin ribbon. Please note the satin ribbon has a few slight bends or fold marks.

This has a unique design with a satin band/bow and a plush fur-like texture.  The style leans towards a type of fashionable cloche or a modified fedora.
