FULL PLATE TINTYPE HAND TINTED VICTORIAN WOMAN RARE ANTIQUE PHOTO c 19th CENTURY
Greetings! This listing is for 6 1/2" x 8 1/4" full plate tintype of a stoic, aged Victorian woman. Her dress is decorated with artistically painted lace at collar and cuffs. She is surrounded by a matte blue hallowed hand tinted aura. A gold ring is painted on her left marriage finger. At one point, the edges on this tintype were likely covered by paper leaving an oval impression of this woman. Paper remnants remain, as well as mild discoloration due to light exposure.
