Produced 1959-63, the 6650 Missile Launching Flat Car had two variations. This is Variation B, built on the 6511-2 flatcar chassis mold. Has AAR disc knuckle couplers, untested.

The firing function includes a diaphragm in the counterweight that should raise and lower the black launching arm. These diaphragms harden with age and continued functionality is rare. The missile arm can be lifted a little (not to its original full degree) and cocked but will not actually fire.

Includes:

- Original 6650 flat car with missile launching arm
- Original Lionel orange perforated box, window unpunched, box flap torn on one side
- Original 6650-80, a two-piece red and white sectioned missile with a blue tip.

Does not include original instructional page.

Train has not been tested in any way, only visually inspected. Sold AS IS.
