Authentic Hida Takayama Japanese Sake Tasting Set, sourced directly from traditional breweries in Takayama, Japan. This beautifully crafted set showcases traditional Japanese craftsmanship and is perfect for sake lovers, collectors, or anyone who appreciates authentic Japanese design.
Condition This set is new and unused, originally purchased as a brewery souvenir. One of the Masu boxes (the one with the decorative plaque) has a very small, faint red mark, which does not affect its use. Porcelain cups are free from chips, cracks, or defects. The set has been carefully stored and is in excellent overall condition.
Craftsmanship The three wooden Masu boxes are made using traditional Japanese joinery without nails or glue. This precise interlocking technique allows the natural Hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood to expand and contract, preserving its authentic aroma and character.
Set Includes • 3 × Wooden Hinoki Masu Boxes (approx. 5 cm H × 6.5 cm W) – one with decorative Sarubobo plaque (with tiny red mark) • 2 × Porcelain Ochoko Cups (approx. 4.5 cm diameter) – classic white ceramic with blue Janome (“snake-eye”) interior design
This set is more than barware — it is a genuine piece of Japanese cultural heritage, ideal for gifting, display, or traditional sake tasting.
