This kind of clay Nativity sets were very popular in Spain during the 1960's. Almost every household had one, unfortunately only a few survive because the delicate nature of the clay. Even in storage the figurines suffered, and from year to year some of them were damaged or broken beyond repair. It is very rare to find a set like this in such a good condition.
