SONY Pressman TCM-100.
A professional model for journalists and others.
This unit has been restored from a product over 40 years old.
Prior to listing, it underwent a complete overhaul essential for continued use:
cleaning of all parts, restoration processing, replacement of drive system components, sound adjustment, etc.
It is fully functional.
The tape counter, a crucial function, also works.
High sound quality and extremely rare.
Also famous as the predecessor to the first-generation Walkman TPS-L2.
Includes new Sony earphones and unused cassette tapes.

Basic interior/exterior cleaning, mechanical part cleaning, reassembly, main belt replacement, counter belt replacement, earphone jack cleaning, microphone jack cleaning, head section cleaning and mirror finish, roller replacement and cleaning with good parts. Volume component cleaning. Motor restoration work.
Azimuth adjustment, speed adjustment.
All functions verified.
Recording, playback, stop, fast forward, rewind, pause, auto shut-off,
tape counter, speaker output.
Extended operation testing, listening test for sound quality.

Measuring instruments were used for speed adjustment, wow and flutter measurement, and azimuth adjustment.
Appropriate chemicals and oils were used throughout the repair process.

Though this Showa-era machine was released about 50 years ago,
through disassembly cleaning, replacement of critical parts, and meticulous sound adjustments,
it has been restored to a condition nearly matching its original state.
I wish to pass it on to someone who will cherish it.

Though vintage, it delivers the same pleasant sound as when new.
That said, this is a private sale of used electronics (antique).
