This set of 7 dinner plates are in the Bird of Paradise pattern by Bawo & Dotter of New York. They started a porcelain decorating company in Limoges, France in 1860 called The Elite Works, and in 1896 they began manufacturing their own porcelain. This dish has the two marks on the base, indicating it was both made and decorated by the Bawo & Dotter Elite Works factory. These particular marks were used between 1920 and 1932.
Each dinner plate measures approximately 9 3/4" in diameter. The set is in very good condition, mainly just some light utensil scratches and surface wear. 5 of the plates have no chips or cracks. One plate has a small rim chip on the back of the plate, as seen in the second to last photo. It is not visible from the front. One plate has two small chips on the foot, as seen in the third and fourth from the last photo. There are no other chips or cracks. Please see my pictures and thank you for viewing my listing!
I'll be offering other pieces in this pattern in my ebay store :)
Fragile items are packaged securely and with great care.
