This club was made by Alex Anderson, the son of James Anderson from the town of Anstruther, 25 miles from St, Andrews, who is often referred to as the "original" cleek and iron maker.
James began his business in1865 as a blacksmith and died in1895 at which time the business was taken over by his son, Alex Anderson who led the business to even great success.

This club is a lined faced niblick which incorporates Fairlie's Anti-Shank Patent. It is a very rare collector's club made by the Iconic Alex Anderson, around 1900.
