'ON ROUTE TO THE BIELEFELD VIADUCT'

A special Edition released to commemorate the first use of  the enormous 22,000lb 'earthquake' bomb, Nicolas Trudgian depicts Squadron Leader Calder's 'Y-ZS' of 617 Squadron en route to attack the Bielefeld Viaduct on 14 March 1945. The other Lancasters on the raid were carrying the already impressive 'Tallboy' bombs but Calder was equipped with the larger bomb for it's first operational use. RAF Mustangs provided the 'Top cover' and the raid was a complete success.

This is an extremely rare multi-signed copy that has been Signed by the Artist Nicolas Trudgian and EIGHT veterans of the famed 617 'Dambusters' Squadron -
