The Antique Royal Doulton Burslem England Pitcher in Flow Blue with an Isthanian Games Chariot theme is a stunning piece of porcelain from 1890’s. Featuring a painted backstamp, this original pitcher showcases intricate details and a beautiful blue color typical of the Greek product line by Doulton Burslem. The Isthmian Games were one of the four major Panhellenic athletic and musical festivals of ancient Greece, held biennially at the Isthmus of Corinth in honor of the sea god Poseidon. Although this pitcher is still beautiful it does have a hairline crack, a couple small chips on the base and crazing. Look at pics carefully. Should still last for another 100 years if taken care of. Because of these very small imperfections I have reduced starting bid to less than half of value.

Because this item is breakable, I take extra care in packaging. It will be bubble wrapped, double boxed and clearly marked FRAGILE so that it arrives safely!
