Geisha Panama Coffee (Coffea sp.) is a variety of the Coffea arabica species, known as one of the world's most exclusive coffees. This variety originates from the Gesha region of Ethiopia and was then optimally developed in Panama. Its popularity has risen rapidly after winning international awards in competitions such as Best of Panama. Geisha has a very dominant floral aroma profile, primarily jasmine and white flowers. Its flavor character features bright acidity with citrus nuances such as bergamot and lemon. This coffee tends to have a light body with a smooth, tea-like texture. The aftertaste is long, clean, and complex. Geisha plants grow taller than common Arabica varieties, with elongated leaves and wide spaced branches. Its production is relatively low, but its cup quality is very high, commanding a premium in the specialty coffee market.
