Geisha Taiwanese Coffee (Coffea sp. Gesha) is a coffee variety of the Coffea arabica species cultivated in the high mountains of Taiwan. Originally from Ethiopia, the Geisha (or Gesha) variety was developed in Taiwan using precision cultivation techniques at altitudes of 1,000–1,600 meters above sea level. The misty climate, steady rainfall, and fertile mountain soils provide a complex and clean flavor. Taiwanese Geisha's flavor profile is known for its elegance, with floral (jasmine), bright citrus, tea, and hints of tropical fruit. The body tends to be light to medium with a smooth and balanced acidity. Post-harvest processing generally uses washed or honey methods to maintain flavor clarity. Its limited production makes it a specialty coffee with a high selling value on the international market.
