Original 1960s Stonehill “Stateroom” teak bureau cabinet.

A well-proportioned and compact mid-century piece featuring the distinctive ribbed tambour-front drop-down bureau section, curved side panels and tapered legs. Internally it has useful pigeon holes and a generous writing surface, with two cupboard doors below for additional storage.

Stamped inside confirming Stonehill manufacture.

A great size for flats or smaller spaces while still offering practical storage.

Measurements:

Height: 109cm
Width: 76cm
Depth (closed): 41cm
Depth (flap open): approx. 71cm
Writing surface depth: approx. 23cm

Condition:

Good vintage condition overall.

There is a visible ring mark to the top surface (shown clearly in the photos). General age-related wear consistent with a 1960s piece. Structurally solid, doors align well and the bureau flap operates smoothly.

Nothing structural — purely cosmetic signs of age.

A genuine British mid-century piece — not a reproduction.
