My internet research found that this is a 1939 World's Fair souvenir piece. A mini treasure chest, it is a unique collectible piece from the New York Fair. Made of a brass toned metal, this small chest is stamped on the interior with the company name (Bija, NYC) and origin (USA). A great piece of historical memorabilia from the United States.
