You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 British RAF Handley-Page Halifax Aircraft Side-Profile! Hand-Painted in the UK in the early 1990s, this is hand-signed and individually numbered. Fully framed, it also features period markings and a detailed unit insignia.
These Aircraft Glass Profiles were produced as individually hand-painted aviation artworks, each one created by painting the image in reverse order on the back side of the glass so that the finished artwork is viewed through the front. This method requires precision and planning, as details such as markings, insignia, and camouflage must be applied in reverse sequence. The result is a clean, highly detailed aviation profile displaying squadron markings and period camouflage in an accurate side-view format.
Made of glass and a wood frame, this piece is in EXCELLENT condition and displays BEAUTIFULLY! The artwork retains approximately 98–99% of its original paint with only MINOR storage wear and VERY LIGHT surface marks (if any). There are NO cracks to the glass observed and the image remains CLEAN and VIBRANT. The aircraft profile and squadron badge are fully hand-painted (not decals). The piece is signed “S. Foster” and was individually produced (hand-painted) rather than mass printed. A VERY ATTRACTIVE and highly displayable aviation collectible, especially desirable due to its reverse-painted glass construction and high original paint retention. I have a complete set in stock, and each averages approx. 8" x 20". Would make a VERY RARE addition to any collection or display!
