For sale is this very nice example of the Oris Classic Date (Oris calibre 733) dating from 2011 (based on the purchase date from the warranty card) and comes complete with its original case, manual and spare links for the bracelet. It's been fully serviced, which included the fitting of a brand new mainspring and comes with a one year warranty that covers the proper mechanical functioning of the watch.

As you'll see from the photo's, the stainless steel case houses an elegantly simple matt black dial in excellent condition, with silvered hour batons and white painted outer minute / seconds track. The date window sits at '6' on the dial. The silvered sword hands, with inset white lume, continue the theme and contrast nicely with the black dial.

The 37mm stainless steel case has a polished steel bezel that holds the flat sapphire crystal and gasket. The case body has polished sides and brushed lugs before reverting to a polished display case-back. Lug to lug length is 44.5mm and case thickness is 10mm. It's a smart and elegant watch on the wrist. The fitted crown is signed 'Oris'. The case is in very good condition, but it does show some signs of wear. Please do check the photos and ask if you want any more detail.

The strap is original to the watch and is also in very good condition, with a combination of polished outer and inner brushed links matching the style of the watch case. The clasp is marked 'Oris' - again there are some minor signs of wear. All links are available and size-wise, I think the watch would fit a maximum 8.25" (21cm)

The case has a display back through which you can see the Oris 733 movement (a Sellita SW200-1). This movement is an automatic wind, 26 jewel model, running at 28,800 beats per hour - giving a very smooth sweep second hand. After a full service, including fitting a new mainspring, it's running on the timegrapher between 0 to +8 seconds per day across all positions, with an amplitude of 250-280 degrees and beat error of 0.0-0.2 It's an excellent timekeeper. Note that the watch also has a 'hack' or 'stop-seconds' feature. When you pull the crown out to the second position, it stops the balance, allowing you to set the watch to the second. As an aside, pulling the watch out to the first stop allows you to quick set the date.

The case is marked as water resistant to 50m. However, PLEASE NOTE, although I have replaced the case-back gasket, I can't change out the original crown gaskets without risking damaging the crown - and I can't source a new crown. As such, I can't warrant the watch as water resistant.

I have a diploma in Clock and Watch Servicing from the BHI (British Horological Institute) having successfully completed the relevant written and practical examinations. I take a properly professional approach to my work. When I say 'fully serviced', what you're getting is a watch or clock that's been stripped down to its component parts, including mainsprings out of barrels and jewels out of their safety settings. These are then machine cleaned and rinsed in the proper horological cleaning solutions and finally re-assembled and lubricated using the appropriate oils and greases. The watch is then timed, adjusted and tested.
