✅You’ll be receiving THREE healthy starter plants similiar to the last three pictures and video. Roots are out of drainage holes.
Most people grow Lycium barbarum which produces small goji berries with bitter taste. This cultivar is Lycium Chinense which is rare and not available for purchase from local nurseries or websites. I’m exclusively selling this variety in Northern California and online in US. If you do find Lycium Chinense online, they’re not the same as mine.
This Giant Red Ningxia premium goji berry plant is considered the best variety for several reasons listed below.
✅Fruits are the biggest size among all goji berry cultivars in the world. The fruits are 3x bigger and sweeter than regular small goji Lycium barbarum. They look like red chili with waxy shiny skin. They taste sweet with brix 18.90 and above, meaty and almost seedless. The very ripe goji berries tested above 32 brix. Buyers feedback stated our goji berries texture is similar to grapes, very different from regular small goji berries. They can be store in refrigerator up to 3-4 weeks and still stay fresh.
✅Roots are less invasive than the small red goji Lycium barbarum.
✅This Lycium chinense large goji berry shrub is thornless making it safe for kids and adults to pick fruits. Lycium barbarum, the small common variety has sharp long thorns.
✅Once the roots are well established, the plant will be very hardy, drought tolerant, heat-tolerate above 100F and cold-tolerant up to -15F. It's very easy to grow and low maintenance.
✅Several local buyers sampled my goji berries stating texture is like grapes, which is meaty and almost seedless. The regular small goji tastes soft watery and more seeds.
Instead of waiting a few years for some seedlings to become mature, these starter plants will give you a jump start. They will be flowering and fruiting after 6-9 months in warm weather. If you want to grow goji berries for health benefits, this Lycium chinense is the perfect addition to your garden.
