Slow-Sinking Fly Line for Salt Water

It’s not very often you’ll need to fish topwater flies in the salt. That’s where an intermediate line comes in handy. The SONAR Saltwater Intermediate fly line features a slow-sinking clear head that cuts through the surface and provides an amazing amount of stealth for those wary fish cruising the flats. From redfish and bonefish to permit and tarpon, give yourself an edge that fish won’t be able to see.

  • Slow sink rate gets flies just below the surface
  • Engineered for use in salt water
  • Clear for stealthy presentations
  • Tropi-Core technology for tropical climates
  • Sink Rate: 1.25 ips (Intermediate)

Advanced Shooting Technology (AST)

Our patented dry slick technology sets the standards for slickness, AST provides continual line slickness allowing the line to shoot farther as it moves virtually friction-free through the guides. AST-formulated lines easily shed dirt, algae and other parasitic drag particles allowing them to cast farther, float higher and stay cleaner than traditional lines. As a result, lines featuring AST are more durable and last longer.

Streamlined Loops

Exceptionally slick and strong, our welded Streamlined Loops produce smoother casts and easier turnover with a seamless fly-line-to-loop transition making for softer landings and cleaner pickups. The sleek design also maintains buoyancy for improved fly-line floatation.

Scientific Anglers Line Identification (SA ID)

SA's unique ID system--used on all their premium lines--identifies your line with small printing at the end (head) of the line, eliminating the need for stickers on spare spools. As a result of our lab's mission to continually improve our lines, we bring you SA ID. SA ID is an innovative line marking system allowing you to identify your lines at a glance. Scientific Anglers have marked each of their premium SA ID lines with small printing near the front end of the fly line so you can see exactly what line you have on any one of your spare spools that you may or may not have used lately. This system eliminates confusion over similar-looking lines on similar spools, and eliminates the possibility of those old stickers ever gumming up your reel again. Wonder if a shooting head is 200 grain or a 300? Just look at the SA ID. You can instantly keep track of all your fly lines and find exactly the one you are looking for amongst all your reels and spare spools.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: You are responsible for paying any customs duties/ taxes, which vary from country to country. WE WILL NOT FALISIFY CUSTOMS DECLARATION FORMS, SO DON'T EVEN ASK. There are many reasons buyers should not ask sellers to engage in this activity: 1) It's illegal. 2) Your item cannot be insured at full value if it is not declared at full value, making you financially responsible if it is lost, stolen, or damaged. 3) Items that are under-declared are much more likely to be seized by customs officials. 4) Asking a seller to participate in customs fraud is against Ebay policy
