Item Description:
This is an original Seiko quartz analog chronograph, Ref. 7010. It is widely known for its historically important Seiko quartz chronograph movement, often recognized as the world’s first analog quartz chronograph movement.
The design features a clean, functional sports layout with lumed hour markers (including a double marker at 12), an internal tachymeter ring (500–60 units per hour), and “SEIKO CHRONOGRAPH QUARTZ” printed in three lines at 12 o’clock. It also includes a seamless-style bracelet design and a bidirectional rotating bezel, giving it a classic early-1980s tool-watch presence.
Inside, it uses Seiko’s quartz chronograph movement with 15 jewels and four stepper motors, designed with an all-metal gear train for durability and serviceability. Compared with many mechanical chronographs of its era, it offered stable long-term accuracy, precise timing, and practical everyday reliability.
