This large trilobite-Cambropallas telstro sometimes called Andalusiana, is a Middle Cambrian trilobite from Jbel Wawrmast Formation in the eastern Anti Atlas region of Morocco. These trilobites are large in comparison to most, and often split into a negative and positive plate, as in this specimen.

The trilobite is large, 8.5 inches long and 6 inches wide at its widest. The entire plate is 10.2 inches long, 8.0 inches wide and 1.0 inches thick. This is just the side containing the trilobite. The negative impression side has similar measurements.

The last 1/3 of both genal spines is missing on the trilobite side, but the impressions are still intact. Often times these trilobites have been heavily restored, this is not the case. On the negative side of the plate, the genal spines have been restored, but that is all. In the trilobite- collecting world this is not a detriment. It is rare to find an entire, intact trilobite given the age of these specimens. And if one is found, they usually are sold for a premium amount. Many sellers do not disclose that their fossils have been repaired or restored, as the repair is often very well done, and virtually undetectable.
