This Living Sober is in good shape for its age. The cover has a few scuffs, but the pages are clean and fairly white with a faint tan around them. The book was authored by Barry Leach (Dates of Sobriety, 1945-1952).
He worked at the New York offices as a writer. It is said that he got the information for the stories in the book by asking for input from other AA members who had long-term sobriety.
Anyway, I have heard that when it came out, old timers didn't like it. If it was because or Barry personal relationships or because they thought the book was written by one person, I don't know. All I know is that myself and many other I know needed it when we first came in.
