Price is based on how RARE this German coffee maker is - from what I can tell, only 1-2 come to the online market in the US every year.

There is just one small crack in the plastic on top of the carafe - please see photos!! If I were keeping this for myself, I would super-glue it, but it works fine just the way it is.
