This is for an antique French Revolution 5 Sols Monneron Brothers Token or medal from 1792. Issued by the Monneron Brothers to address a shortage of small change in France during the revolution. The scene depicted is likely the storming of Bastille. Possibly made of Bronze or copper. 1 1/2" diameter. Could use a polishing. Patina has not been touched. Being sold as antique as shown for your collection.
