Art Deco Vase « The Alveoli » signed by Marius Sabino, in satin opalescent white glass to polished edges, made around 1928.
This model, listed under number 7028 At Sabino catalog from 1930, presents a line recessed five-sided pear-shaped.
Each side is decorated with the decoration which gives its name to the vase: a central radiating cell in petals, extending into successive ovals which reverberate harmoniously to the edges.
It is based on a circular base and ends with a recessed collar.
There signature engraved at the tip “Sabino Paris” appears under the base. This model does not have never been reissued, THE mold having been destroyed after 1945, which makes it a rare piece of Marius Sabino (1878-1961), major figure in French Art Deco glass.
