Vintage Lladro Porcelain Figurine #4841 "Valencian Girl" (Niña Valenciana)

​Beautiful classic Lladro figurine designed by Fulgencio Garcia, issued in 1973. Features a young girl in traditional Valencian dress holding a basket of oranges.

​UNIQUE FEATURE: UV Reactive Glaze

Under 365nm UV light, the floral pattern on the dress and base fluoresces a bright vibrant green (please see photos).

​IMPORTANT NOTE: While the fluorescence color is very similar to Uranium Glass, this item is NOT Uranium Glass. It is fine porcelain. The glow is caused by the reactive mineral content in the specific enamel used for the flowers during the 1970s. It is a rare and beautiful curiosity for collectors of fluorescent items.

​Condition:

Please read carefully: The figurine is in good vintage condition with beautiful colors, BUT it has a small chip on the tip of the headpiece/diadem (see close-up photos). It is barely noticeable on display but felt to the touch. No other cracks or crazing.
