The Agilent 83494A is a plug-in optical clock recovery module that extracts a precise timing reference from high-speed optical data streams. Installed in a compatible Keysight Infiniium DCA mainframe, it locks onto incoming SONET/SDH rates up to 10 Gb/s and delivers a low-jitter recovered clock for accurate signal analysis.

•  Locks to all SONET/SDH data rates through 10 Gb/s (including 9.953 Gb/s)
•  Derives its clock internally from the signal under test when no external trigger is provided
•  Provides a clean, low-jitter clock output to the DCA mainframe’s measurement circuitry
•  Enables precise eye-diagram generation, jitter decomposition, and timing analysis
•  Supports optical input power from –14 dBm to +3 dBm (≤ 2.488 Gb/s) and –8 dBm to +3 dBm (≥ 9.953 Gb/s)
