Early KAYWOODIE Super Grain
12B Medium Bulldog, c1939-52
Nice Mixed Grain, Grecian Briar
4-Hole Stinger, Near Mint Shape

Offering a very attractive Kaywoodie Super Grain. It's an 12B shape, which is a medium bulldog with saddle bit. The stem has the 4-hole stinger, which makes it early. The bowl is made of Grecian briar, and shows off a pretty array of flame grain and tight birdseye, in a rich golden tan stain. The bowl exterior is in fine shape, with slight normal use on outer rim, rest shows pretty much no wear. The inside of the bowl is lightly seasoned; it should smoke well early on. The stem is original in a saddle cut, with no tooth wear, lines up well to the bowl, just barely counter-clock-wise as from the factory. It has a 4-hole stinger. Pipe weighs about 1.05 ounces, draw hole about bottom center and draws easy. Based on the shape and stinger, the pipe was made between 1939 and 1952 approximately, so the briar is nicely seasoned from age. Freshly polished, and is ready to smoke!
