Antique Konya Karapınar Tülü – Primitive Anatolian Textile

This rare Konya Karapınar tülü is an authentic Anatolian tribal weaving, estimated to be 90–100 years old. Woven with a cotton foundation and wool pile, the piece features beautifully aged natural root-dyed colors that remain vibrant yet soft.

The composition is striking and highly symbolic. The central primitive motif, boldly placed and vertically aligned, reflects early Anatolian belief systems and village symbolism. Surrounding geometric forms and small accent motifs enhance the raw, expressive character of the piece, making it especially appealing to collectors of early tribal textiles.

The color palette is exceptional—warm mustard yellow, deep raspberry, indigo blue, and subtle green and purple accents—each naturally dyed and harmoniously balanced. The surface has a soft, tactile texture typical of tülü weavings, adding both visual depth and warmth.
