This is a used Japanese wooden shakuhachi flute with 7 finger holes.

The instrument is made of wood (bamboo-style construction). The exact maker, age, and detailed specifications are unknown.

Based on the visible interior bore, it appears to be a Ji-nashi style (unlined bore) shakuhachi rather than a Ji-ari model. This is an observation only and cannot be guaranteed.

There is minor damage to the utaguchi (blowing edge), however the instrument was tested and sound can be produced.

Because of its simple construction and playability, it is suitable for beginners, practice, or learning purposes.

The surface has been wiped down and cleaned with alcohol prior to shipping.

Condition

This is a used wooden shakuhachi.

There is slight damage to the utaguchi, along with normal signs of age and use such as small scratches and wear. No major cracks or structural damage were observed. Sound output was confirmed at the time of testing. Overall condition is fair to good for a used instrument.
