Item Identification
Function: This unit sat on the dashboard or under the dash of a vehicle. It allowed the operator to control a much larger "brick" radio unit typically mounted in the trunk.
Controls: It features a dual-knob setup for Volume (with an Off/On/Standby switch) and Squelch (to filter out background static).
Connectivity: The circular 5-pin or 6-pin port on the bottom (shown in image 5386) is for the hand-held microphone. The multi-pin "Jones" style connectors hanging from the back would have connected to the main wiring harness leading to the radio and power source. This item has not been tested.
