This desktop-grade 3D scanner cannot be compared to industrial-grade scanners and is not suitable for scanning irregular or complex objects. Optimal results are achieved when scanning near-cylindrical objects. Scan quality is significantly influenced by the object, environment, and lighting conditions. We recommend scanning in a constant-light studio for better results. Assembly requires basic DIY skills. This project is continuously evolving through collective exploration and collaboration!
Objects Suitable for Scanning:
1. Spatial volume > 5x5 cm (diameter and height) 2. Spatial volume < 20.3x20.3 cm
3. Stationary objects
4. Opaque objects
Objects Challenging to Scan:
1. Objects smaller than 5x5 cm
2. Transparent objects (glass, acrylic, etc.)
3. Luminous or highly reflective objects
4. Very dark targets or objects with fuzzy surfaces (e.g., plush toys)
Objects to avoid scanning:
1. Objects larger than 20.3x20.3 cm
2. Moving objects
