Mount Guide (Quick + Practical)

  • FD / New FD (FDn): Canon manual-focus SLR mount (1970s–1980s). “FDn” commonly refers to the later “New FD” lens style.
  • FL: Earlier breech-lock mount (mid-1960s). Physically related to FD for dust cap fit.
  • R (Canonflex / Canomatic): Early Canon breech-lock system (Canonflex era). This is not EOS R / RF.
