1959 Topps Baseball Group Lot of (73) Cards, Mostly EX-MT to NM

Ideal for the Ungraded Card Collector!

The advent of professional grading over the past 35 years has made finding quality, ungraded or “raw” cards into a maddening search for many collectors. The search gets even more intense when the focus is on a set’s more valuable cards: Hall of Famers, rookie issues, checklists, high numbers, and scarce variations for a master set. This same search applies equally to PSA Authorized Dealers such as MINT State, and in fact, if not for grading prices, many of the offered cards would be on their way to getting slabbed.

Presenting a total of (73) cards, all different, from the 1959 Topps master set in mostly EX-MT to Near Mint condition. Our consignor spent years assembling this collection when he realized further upgrades necessitated a move to only professionally graded cards. In fact, many cards in this group lot were removed from PSA EX-MT 6, PSA NM 7, PSA NM-MT 8 (Qualified) and PSA MINT 9 (Qualified) holders. Sharp corners, brilliant color and gloss, and an overall “pack-fresh” eye appeal is seen throughout the entire run with a handful of exceptions (notably #479B Lindy McDaniel, Print Error). This collection features several Hall of Famers and other keys, including the condition-sensitive first card in the 1959 Topps set. The lot includes: #1 Ford Frick
