Description
・橋本紹尚 Hashimoto Josho
・Yagyū Hōtoku Zenji, Chief Priest of Yagyū Hōtoku Zenji Temple, Nara. Eminent monk of the Rinzai School (Daitoku-ji branch).
On January 24, 1972, he became Chief Priest of Yagyū Hōtoku Zenji Temple (Nara).
Graduated from Hanazono University in 1962. That same year, he entered the Daitoku-ji Special Training Hall.
He studied under Master Oda Sekisō (48th and 49th Head Priest of Daitoku-ji).
Returned to Yagyū Hōtoku-ji in 1965, becoming its head priest in 1972.
Received the dharma names “Kendo” and “Shōshō” from the previous head priest of San'gen-in, Master Fujii Kaidō.
Following the previous head priest, Master Hashimoto Sadayoshi, he actively served at the children's welfare facility “Seibi Gakuryō” and the Masakizaka Kenzen Dojo.
