There are two types of wide-type cross finder scope bases: **flat-bottom** and **concave-bottom** (also known as bridge-style).  

1. **Concave-Bottom (Bridge-Style)**:  
   - Designed to fit on curved telescope tubes, suitable for mounting finder scopes, guiding scopes, and other accessories.  
   - However, it may be unstable when mounted on flat plates or surfaces.  

2. **Flat-Bottom**:  
   - Provides a stable mount when attached to flat plates, dovetail bars, or rails.  
   - Not suitable for mounting on curved telescope tubes.
