Edward R Wilkes was prolific in experimental lustred glazes. He worked for Bernard Moore at Wolfe Street, Stone on Trent as a China painted and designer. Around 1900-1905 Wilkes contributed to Moore’s experiments in the development of difficult flambe glazes.
