Purchased at a high end estate sale because my brother recognized this style from museums he visited over seas and knew it was an ancient oil pitcher that had been buried in the sand for many years giving it the lighter markings on it. I want to get what we paid for it back at $1250. The sales lady (his widow) had it marked at $1500 because her late husband told her that that was its minimum value. Now that my brother has passed I have no want for it like he did so I want it to go to someone what will love it as much as he did. He said it was at least 2000 years old maybe older and because of the ornate handle it was most likely made for upper class or at least middle class. Please feel free to ask me questions I will try and answer as best as I can according to what I was told. She told us that her husband got it on a dig in the early 60's or there abouts and that it was one of his most prize finds on all of his outings and I can see why it is beautiful.
