Vintage Powermid Set Model PM5900 with ST539 Transmitter & RE549 Receiver - 1990

This X10 Powermid PM5900 was mail ordered from DAK Industries in Newark, NJ on November 29, 1990 for 55.90 including tax and delivered to Brooklyn, NY by my father inlaw.  It was never used and is in the original box with original reciept, magazine articles & ads of the item.

The X10 Powermid PM5900 was marketed as an infrared (IR) remote control extender system that allows you to control audio/video equipment in another room using your existing IR remote. The set includes a transmitter and a receiver that communicate via radio frequency (RF) signals through walls and floors, eliminating the need for line-of-sight.
