1987 H Farthing Ironbridge Gorge Museum Token convex image type by Heaton Mint - Collectors' grade!

This 21.1mm bronze high collectors’ grade with mint lustre was struck by the Heaton Mint, Birmingham for the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust an industrial heritage organisation which runs ten museums and manages 35 historic sites within the Ironbridge Gorge in Shropshire.

These tokens have been based upon the old UK coinage and can be used to purchase items in the museum shops to give the person and experience of living in the Victorian era.

 

Obverse: Seated figure of Britannia with trident and shield dividing denomination, date in exergue.
