This is Barbour thread 100% linen not the cheaper Somac nylon thread!
You receive the thread on the card not the spools, that's just to show you where I take the thread from! Any questions please message me before buying.
In thread, "18/3" means
it is made of three strands of thread, each of which is a thickness of #18. The first number, 18, indicates the thickness (a higher number means a thinner thread), and the second number, 3, indicates the number of strands or plies twisted together to form the final thread.
18 (Gauge/Thickness): This number indicates the thread's thickness. A lower number signifies a thicker thread. For example, 12/3 is thicker than 18/3.
3 (Ply/Strands): This number indicates how many individual strands of that #18 thickness are twisted together to create the final thread. Therefore, 18/3 is thicker and more robust than an 18/1 or 18/2 thread.
I am not a dealer, this thread is from my own collection as a Pelham collector and enthusiast of over 30 years!
