Offered for sale is a crisp Orient M-Force
EXOE-C1 CA 100M S/S Internal Compass Bezel Automatic watch, inclusive of 2 extra links for the bracelet. This is one of a number of vintage watches that were part of a retired watch technicians inventory of watches and watch parts, acquired a number of years ago, that I have begun listing here on eBay.
Early Orient M-Force watches are becoming harder and harder to find, particularly in nice condition - at the time of this listing, this appears to be the only example of this specific M-Force reference currently on offer here on eBay.
This particular specimen is in really excellent overall cosmetic condition, with only very light signs of wear visible on the case and bracelet - the photos the accompany this listing are an excellent representation of the condition of this watch. The mineral glass crystal is perfect with no scratches or chips.
The dial and hands are in pristine condition, as are the crowns.
Mechanically, the 21J Orient automatic movement runs steadily when wound (this Orient movement, like many Seiko movements from this era, only winds via the rotor, and not via the crown) and appears to keep reasonable time ( please note that timekeeping has not been measured precisely - a servicing is recommended for all vintage watches whose service history is unknown, as is the case with this watch.) All of the crowns work properly - the top crown is a screw-down crown/button that advances the date when the button is pushed, the middle crown is a screw down crown for time setting, and the bottom crown controls the internal rotating compass bezel. Setting of the hands is crisp and precise, and the power reserve indicator functions correctly.
The watch is mounted on it's original factory bracelet, and as currently sized, it will fit a wrist of up to 7 1/3"; this listing also includes 2 extra links for the bracelet, each of which adds 1/2 inch in length, for a total maximum wrist size of approximately 8.25 inches (micro-adjustment is available via the buckle.) the date when the button is pushed, the middle crown is a screw down crown for time setting, and the bottom crown controls the internal rotating compass bezel.
