Bob Dylan Poster - Milton Glaser Design - Original Album Insert

ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC IMAGES IN GRAPHIC DESIGN HISTORY

This is an original Milton Glaser poster from "Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits" - perhaps the most recognizable music poster ever created.

THE POSTER:
- Iconic Dylan silhouette with psychedelic rainbow hair
- "DYLAN" text at bottom
- Milton Glaser credit in lower portion
- Approximately 22" x 33"
- Original album insert, not a reproduction

THE DESIGN:
Milton Glaser created this poster in 1966 for inclusion in Bob Dylan's first compilation album, released in March 1967. The image - Dylan's profile in stark black silhouette against explosive, swirling rainbow hair - became an instant icon of 1960s design.

The poster was included as a folded insert in "Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits" for years. Columbia Records continued including it in various pressings well into the 1970s, making it one of the most widely distributed art posters in history.

Glaser's Dylan poster now hangs in the Museum of Modern Art. It remains one of the defining images of its era - instantly recognizable, endlessly imitated, never equaled.

PROVENANCE:
This poster came from an album I purchased around 1979. It hung on my wall for years - the thumbtack holes are evidence of that.

CONDITION:
- Original folds from album insert (unavoidable for authentic examples)
- Small tears at fold intersections - typical for displayed posters
- Multiple thumbtack holes along edge and corners from hanging
- Colors remain vivid
- Paper shows age toning on reverse
- This is a displayed poster, not a stored one
- See photos for details

Posters in pristine condition were never unfolded or displayed. This one was - that's the trade-off. The image remains striking and displayable.
