Presented here is the1983-84 All WCHA Team plaque presented to University of Minnesota-Duluth forward Bill Watson. The wooden plaque is approx 7" x 9" with bevelled edges, with a mounted plate with a WCHA logo and "ALL WCHA TEAM", "Bill Watson Forward - University of Minnesota-Duluth" and "1983-84"

First gaining experience with two high-scoring seasons in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for the Prince Albert Raiders as a 16-year-old in 1980-81, Bill Watson would net an impressive 153 points with the club in 101 games. Attending the University of Minnesota Duluth and starring for the Bulldogs for three seasons beginning in 1982-83, Watson would score a NCAA-record 109 points in 46 games in 1984-85 (surpassed by Tony Hrkac two seasons later), and would be awarded the prestigious Hobey Baker Award as the top National Collegiate Athletic Association hockey player. The Pine Falls native was drafted by Chicago in 1982 and played in parts of four seasons with the Black Hawks from 1985 to 1989.

First defeating Clarkson in a two-game total-goal series in the quarterfinals at the 1984 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey championship, the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs then slipped past the Fighting Sioux of North Dakota 2-1 in the semifinal to meet Bowling Green in the final. Suffering a devastating loss to the Falcons 5-4 in quadruple overtime, this game remains the longest ever played to determine a champion in NCAA history. Star player Bill Watson scored the Bulldogs second goal of the match on the powerplay, and despite losing in the final, Watson was named to the All WCHA Team due to his especially impressive 86 points in 40 games during the regular season.

This award will be accompanied by a signed letter from Bill Watson as it originated directly from his collection.  This letter will most likely ship separately from the award.
