Authentic Ancient Greek silver obol struck at Selge, Pisidia, during the Classical to early Hellenistic period (circa 350–300 BC).
Obverse: Facing gorgoneion with protruding tongue, a powerful apotropaic image intended to ward off evil.
Reverse: Head of Athena right, wearing a crested Attic helmet, emblematic of wisdom, warfare, and civic protection.
