What we are offering here is just an empty heavy cardstock sleeve for a 12-inch vinyl record, but the artistic value lies in the painting or calligraphy that has been applied to it in black ink or black paint. I'm pretty sure it's an original work of art, not any kind of copy or facsimile, which means it is unique and strictly one of a kind. It was found in a pile of records, but I have no further provenance, and I'm not an expert on this type of art, so I don't know if it's been done by someone famous or just someone scribbling randomly to pass the time away. If anyone out there knows more than I do, I'd appreciate any insights you can offer. Either way, it's pretty cool, and the oval "Jumbo Brand" watermelon sticker is an added touch of color. Although it looks pretty abstract at first glance, there are also a lot of very decipherable letters, but I'm not sure whether any of the combinations of letters constitutes a tag or signature.
